Jumpstarting Your Goals and Dreams

Have you ever been on your way to a destination you have visited before, but it's been a very long time since you have been there? The neighborhood has changed, and you find yourself pulling off the side of the road, trying to use your GPS.  You know you are on the correct path, but you can't move forward because you've lost your way. Sometimes that happens to us. We have career goals, educational goals, and personal goals; however, over the course of time, life happens (marriage, divorce, births, empty nesting, sickness, finances, etc.).  Once we return to those goals, our motivation may have lost its momentum and direction. We also may feel like we have lost our way.  What do we do to jumpstart our pathway forward?

Let's look at the definition of jumpstart in this context.  According to Webster, a jumpstart is starting or restarting something rapidly or forcefully.  You might be asking, "So how do I jumpstart my pathway forward?" The answer is not a quick fix or standard checklist – it is a personal process.  There are three major processes to jumpstart your pathway forward:

1.    Identify and boldly claim your unique talents, skills, and attributes.

2.    Change the narrative through “I AM” statements to have confidence that you are enough!

3.    Actively walk in your purpose.
